SUPERSTITION KILLING

In some cultures animals are shunned, maimed or killed for having “the bad eye” or “bringing bad luck”.

Such animal abuse is based on unfounded fear for and aggression against totally harmless creatures.

The exposed violence can be incidental or structural.

Superstition can have a religious background.

Superstition can turn into ritual acts of sacrifice to ward off evil or evoke luck.
